Nexus 7 hits Japan

Written by Fudzilla staff

Nexus 7 is headed to the land of the rising sun.

Google hopes to take on Sony on its home turf, which shouldn’t be much of an issue, since Sony really did not have much luck with tablets.

The 16GB Nexus 7 is priced at 19,800 yen, which translates to $250, the same price US consumers are likely to pay and somewhat cheaper than in Europe.

Japan is the first country in Asia to officially get the Nexus tablet and it should go on sale next week, October 2.
