Frostbite 2 developer needed at PopCap?

Written by David Stellmack

For a AAA console title, job posting says

What might PopCap be up to? The developer is apparently looking for a generalist software engineer with Frostbite 2 engine experience to work on a AAA console title. What? PopCap is planning on developing a triple A console title with the Frostbite 2 engine? Well, we have no idea what this might be, and no one is talking, but it has a lot of people scratching their heads.

While we have heard rumors of PopCap wanting to expand into something more than the casual games that it is famous for, this has always seemed a bit of a dream. With EA in the picture and having access to the versatile Frostbite 2 engine, it is anyone’s guess what PopCap might be up to or thinking about doing. This is one that we would surely like to see develop into something.
